Functionalities

  1. Possibility to manage the bloggers via an ad-hoc list or a SL group
  2. Logo and Blogger Box instructions as images changable on the db directly
  3. Inclusive version: allows merchants that offered a blog item to take items from other merchants as well
  4. No password required: a token of two hours can be obtained in world to access the portal
  5. Pay per use: the fee is paid only when a new round is created, otherwise you have no costs

How to get it

This product is heavy personalized for each Event, since there is no event like another.
You will have then to contact Virtualty first, then we will be able to help you and send you the full package already ready for your event to be ready to roll!

How it works

Blog Me! is quite easy to manage and to use.
It works either with a list, manually managed by the owner or the managers, or by an inworld group, and this will be defined by you in the information we will ask you in the initial face.
Every time you want a new round of the event to be created, the owner of the event will have to pay the fee to the Owner Terminal.
Blog Me! does not work as a subscription tool, but it is a pay-per-use tool. This means that you will pay the fee only if and when you are using the tool, because a new round has been created.
We will see this later in the manual.

Items and their use

You will receive an object containing 6 different items, that will be already tailored for your event:

Owner and Manager server are quite similar. Check the overtext to be able to recognize them:

Owner Server

The moment you will rez the Owner Server, you will be requested to allow access to the L$: this because you, as Owner of the event, you will be charged every time a new round will be created.
The Owner Server is the one that should be kept only by the owner of the event.
The Owner Server has only two tasks:

  1. update the list of bloggers (if the list is used as management method for the bloggers)
  2. create a new round

When you will select the “new” button, you will be informed that a new round has been created and you will pay the fee. The “update” button will load the notecard into the database to make the items accessible to bloggers.
Once you do it, you will receive a message stating that you changed the list.
IMPORTANT

Manager Server

You have received the rack and the manager server as copy/transfer, so that you can send a copy of them to your manager(s).
Please remember to tell Virtualty who you want as managers.
Please also send the rack and the Manager Server as copy only.
The Manager Server has only one option: to update the list of bloggers, nothing else.

Blogger Box

The Blogger Box is the item that has to be bought by the merchants and filled in with their items and hence be taken by the authorized bloggers.
The event owner just has to duplicate as many of them they want and put them on sale.
Once they are bought, the merchant will be saved in the database, and once filled in, also the information on the item will be saved in the database.
Once the round is finished, just delete the old Blogger Boxes and rez new ones, they will automatically connect to the newly created round.
If you have selected the Sharing option, when a merchant will put an item in a blogger box, they will be added to the list of allowed Bloggers, so they will also be able to take items from other Merchants.
Of course the blogger box has to be set on sale so that the merchants will be able to use the original object:

Access Terminal

The Access Terminal is the terminal used to get the token to access the portal, just click on it, select your role and you will get the url to access it.
See the Bloggers' Manual for more info.
