Blog Me! is a tool used to manage blogs for events.
With this tool, you do not need an extra set of passwords to access Blog Me!, but you will just need to select the correct event on the Access Terminal and you will receive a token valid for two hours.

How to get it

This product is heavy personalized for each Event, since there is no event like another.
You will have then to contact Virtualty first, then we will be able to help you and send you the full package already ready for your event to be ready to roll!

How it works

Blog Me! is quite easy to manage and to use.
It works either with e list, manually managed by the owner or the managers, or by a inworld group, and this will be defined by you in the information we will ask you in the initial face.
Every time you want a new round of the event to be created, the owner of the event will have to pay the fee to the Owner Terminal.
Blog Me! does not work as a subscription tool, but it is a pay-per-use tool. This means that you will pay the fee only if and when you are using the tool, because a new round has been created.
We will see this later in the manual.

Items and their use

You will receive an object containing 6 different items, that will be already tailored for your event:

  • Owner Server
  • Manager Server
  • Blogger Box
  • Access Terminal
  • Rack
  • example of the bloggers notecard

Owner and Manager server are quite similar. Check the overtext to be able to recognize them:

Owner Server

The moment you will rez the Owner Server, you will be requested to allow access to the L$: this because you, as Owner of the event, you will be charged every time a new round will be created.
The Owner Server is the one that should be kept only by the owner of the event.
The Owner Server has only two tasks:

  1. create a new round
  2. update the list of bloggers (if the list is used as management method for the bloggers)

When you will select the “new” button, you will be informed that a new round has been created and you will pay the fee. The “update” button will load the notecard into the database to make the items accessible to bloggers.
Once you do it, you will receive a message stating that you changed the list.
IMPORTANT
The notecard HAS to be called “recipients” and it HAS to be made as the example given you in the package.
