Spot On! is a tool used to register for events in Second Life. The pictures used in this manual were taken using a specific event, but the concept is applicable to all other terminals of the “Spot On! Everywhere” line. For more information, please visit https://www.virtualty.space
The moment you rez the Terminal, it will perform a quick initialization, retrieving all the necessary event information from the database. It will then prompt you to enter the Shop Name and the SLUrl.
This information is required only once, as your shop will be associated with the avatar used during this setup, eliminating the need for further edits.
Therefore, please exercise extreme caution in ensuring that you use the correct avatar to execute this initial action.
Once you have performed these simple steps, the Terminal is ready to work!
If this is the first time you have rezzed this terminal or the first time you are using any of the Virtualty-related services, you will receive a message like the following::
These are your credentials to log in to Manage Me!, the backend portal used to manage Virtualty services.
In case you haven't received the message (it is sent by one of our bots, VirtualtyPostmaster), there's no need to worry. You can reset your password in Virtualty Office at a dedicated Terminal, which will recognize your UUID and send you a message with the new password.
The terminal can be found @ http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Falcata/51/155/27
Every time you click on the Terminal, it will check if it is the correct time to register for the event.
If it is the correct time, you just need to drag and drop the items the event owner requires from you into the Terminal.
These items can include one or more notecards, one or more textures, or any other necessary elements, which will be specified in the Dialog.
Please note that if you attempt to put a texture that is not full perm, the Terminal will inform you and refuse to proceed:
If you have provided the correct information and filled the terminal with the appropriate items, the 'Send' button will appear:
Once you click on 'Send', the information will be transmitted to the database, the inserted elements will be deleted, and your fee will be automatically sent to the event owner.
After registering and completing the payment process, you can utilize Manage Me! to add your Marketplace landmark or modify the SL landmark if you prefer customers to land directly in front of your vendor.
It is very simple, you just need to login into Manage Me! with the credentials you have received.
Please remember that if you are already the proud owner of a Virtualty product, the login you have used for other products can be used here as well.
After you logged in, you will see on the top bar the link to the 30L area of Manage Me!.
From here, you will be able to modify the information of your shop, such as changing the base landmark (LM) if needed. Additionally, you can add your logo, although it is not used at the moment. I have other ideas in mind for which the logo you place here will be utilized in the future.
During the registration period, you will have the chance to change the items you have selected for this round. However, once the registration closes, any modifications to your selection will be restricted. So please make sure to finalize your choices before the registration deadline.
But if you are on time, you will be able to modify everything.
If you choose to use the Marketplace link, please ensure that you insert it in the 3rd line correctly. Take care to place the exact and accurate URL to avoid any issues.
Et voilá, you are done for this round!
Well, you can do it yourself!
And you have two ways to do it.
You will just have to fill in again the Terminal with your new pic(s) (and notecard or LM if requested), and your position will be updated:
PLEASE NOTE: When you submit your changes, everything will be replaced, including all the images with the new ones. If you wish to change only one image and keep the others as they are, you will have to submit again all the images you want to offer for this round.
Use Manage Me! to enter the page of your shop, go to the items that you have proposed for this round, and simply change the uuid of the item. If you want you can also change the LM.
Alas, no.
The system recognizes your uuid and attached it to the information of your shop. In this case, if you have a second shop for the same event, you will need to use an alt.
If you will try to use the same avatar, only one set of information will be saved and you will end up overwriting the data every single time.
