0019 for the version without register
0016 for the version with register
The Spot On! is a tool to register to events in Second Life.
This manual pictures were taken using different version of the application used for different events, but the concept is valid for all the other terminals of the line Spot On! OnePlace.
Please see https://www.virtualty.space for more information.
Basic concept
Spot On! OnePlace/Everywhere is made to make it simpler to have your customer register for the event(s) you are organizing.
As Event Owner, you will have terminals that will help you manage your event:
- [Your_event_name] - Spot On! Owner Terminal - The Terminal you will use to manage the basic actions for your event
- [Your_event_name] - Spot On! OnePlace/Everywhere - The Terminal that will be used by merchants to register. These are different and please refer to the single manuals for them
- [Your_event_name] - ReceiverBox - Optional box that will receive all the notecards/pics used to register to your event. It works ONLY with the OnePlace option of Spot On!
Spot On! Owner Terminal
The Spot On! Owner Terminal is the one to keep “hidden” in your workplace, and you will use to perform some administrative tasks.
It is copy/mod because it is NOT supposed to be used by anybody else but you.
Other than by the overtext, the object and the version of the software is clearly indicated when you click on the Terminal
The buttons are dynamic, it means they change according to the situation you are in, and according to what actions you are allowed to perform.
The dialog will also show you the number and type of information you have to provide to register to the event.
This information is coded into the database, so can be changed on the fly whenever you want.
In this specific case:

To register to the event you have to provide at least one pic (full perm) and at least one Notecard.
The max number of items you can insert is 2, for both notecards and images.
If one of the images is not full perm, the system will inform you:

And you will NOT be allowed to go on with the registration unless you get rid of the image with the wrong permission set.
Debug: this button activates the Debug option into the system.

Please DO NOT click on this button unless you are specifically requested.
The system will be dramatically slower because an IM will be sent to me at each and every action performed by you on the terminal.
This is to be used only when there is a problem, and we need to investigate what is going on.
Reset: This button will perform a full reset of the Terminal. To be used in case of issues. 90% of the problems you may have can be resolved by clicking on this button
Publish: This button will push the information from the base tables to the Hub/web tables. To be done every time you want to update the hud/web pages with the new list of shops.
You will receive an IM from VirtualtyPostmaster confirming that the action has been performed

This action can be performed as many times as you want, because the data are NOT cancelled on the database, are just copied from one table to another in the database.
Add a new shop
SLurl and Shop Name:
These two buttons are to be used to register a new shop. Of course the Owner will NOT be paying the fee to themselves.
The procedure is quite straightforward:
- Insert (control drag and drop or directly in the Content tab) image(s) and notecard(s)
- Fill in the shop name
- Fill in the SLurl
The send button will show up ONLY when all has been filled in, and only if the images inserted are full perm.

At this point, the Send button will appear (and the other buttons will disappear as well) and you are good to go.
Clicking on the Send button, the data will be fed to the database and you will receive a confirmation message.

The same message will be sent to all the people you have selected as manages/co-owner of the event.
Please remember that with the OnePlace option I can make a Receiver terminal, that has just to be in the same region of the register terminals, to receive all the items that the merchants insert into the Registration Terminals

This terminal will as well send all the contents (notecards and pics) to whoever will click on it OR only to the owner, according to how you ask me to configure it.
The images/notecard inside the Receiver Terminal will NOT be automatically deleted.
You will have to do it manually before every new round.
Edit an existing record
With the Owner Terminal you can edit an existing record.
To define what is the element of the list you want to modify, you have to specify the id of the shop in the description field:

To know what the id of the shop is, you have to use Manage me! with the credentials that have been provided to you:

Once you put the ID of the shop you want to edit in the description, the dialog that comes up when you click on the Terminal will tell you that you are editing something:

IMPORTANT!
You will be deleting ALL the information relative to the shop with the ID you have selected, so be VERY careful to add the correct information.
In particular the information relative to the shop name and the SLurl.
This operation can be performed as many times you want, so there is no problem whatsoever if you do a mistake
To abandon the edit mode and go back to the insert mode it is enough to place again a “x” in the description field of the Owner terminal.

Delete
The button Delete will allow you to delete a specific shop from the list
As for the edit, you have to specify the ID of the shop you want to delete.
If you do not do that, the Terminal will send you an IM:
If you are very sure of what you are doing, insert a ID in the description, click on the Delete button and the related record will be cancelled:
IMPORTANT! This action CANNOT be undone. Once you have deleted a record, this is impossible to recuperate
