Unpack Me! Unpacking system

“Unpack Me!” is a complete flexible unpacking system that can be used in an hud or in a standalone package to deliver to your customer only part of the items present in your product.
This software will be able to:
- manage different items that will be recognized and catalogued according to a set of 2 character defined by the owner
- send to the user only the desired part of items in an well defined folder
- save the information on the users
- allow the owner to access a web interface to see the statistics of every single unpacker
This is a fully operational tool that links Second Life™ with an external platform, accessible via your in-world name and a password that can be retrieved from the Virtualty Office using the Manage Me! Password recovery terminal(http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Falcata/70/154/26)
Basic elements
The tool is made of two scripts:
UnpackMe Setup- The script that manages the configuration of the unpackerUnpackMe- The actual unpacking script
Please note that in the package that you have received, a version number is inserted at the end of the name of the script.
Quick instructions
Using this unpacker is very easy.
Once you have placed both scripts in your hud, just insert in the description of the container object the two chars you will use to define what is the common element to search:
In my case, I am using {} as the characters used to delimitate the text that will be used to generate the menu buttons.
But remember, you can use whatever set of two chars to delimitate the text used to generate the menu buttons!
IMPORTANT
If there are landmarks, notecard and textures, these will be automatically sent in EACH package.
If there is a object that you want to be sent with EVERY package, you just need to put it without the set of chars that define a package.
So if you have a hud that is valid for every dress, just give it the name you want e be sure that there are not the 2 chars used to define the single package, the script will take care of adding it to every single package sent to the customers.
If you will forget it, when you will try to finalize the Unpacker, you will receive the following error:
As well as if you forget to actually place elements in the object:
At this point, it is enough to place in the same element, all the objects that you want to include:
As you can see, every element has between the characters that I have decided, the name of a body. These will be the names used to generate the menu.
Just click on the object, and for a few moments there will be a message over it:
And when it will disappear, your unpacker is ready!
The UnpackMe Setup script will auto delete, and you are now ready to distribute you Object with the unpacker active.
Customer interface
Once your customer will receive the Unpacker, and they will click on it, this is what they will see:
NOTE
There is also the button ALL to send all the items inside the hud/box.
Once the customer selects one of the button, they will receive a folder with the requested items:
Owner interface
The advantage of this system is that you will also have statistics available for you to see where you better push your efforts.
You need to login into Manage Me! (https://manageme.virtualty.space/)
and you will have the list of all your Unpacker items.
You will see that for each Unpacker there is a unique code, and this code is copied in the description of the object, so you can also recognize from it.
You will then be able to see the statistics for this specific object.
