[Ginger Line] Packager

Latest version: 1.0

General information

The Packager is meant to be used to package G&S related items into boxes, in a flexible and intuitive way.

Features

1. Lifetime updates - You will access for free to any further release of this tool. The search for updates is automatic when you rez the tool.
2. Easy to use- Just put your items in the Packager, edit the Description field according to your need, and click on it. As simple as that!

Instructions

The “bare” packager

Once you rez the packager for the first time, you will just see what it looks like a simple crate, with a “0” as overtext.

The first use

The first use is quite simple

1. Open the Packager in edit mode, go in the Content tab and drag inside a full perm texture that you want to be used on the rezzed boxes.
2. Go in the General tab and look at the description. You should have something like “test 10x,10”. This is the most important element to modify for the packager, as it specify the name that will be used in the generated boxes as well as the number of items you want to put in each and every box.
Let’s imagine that you want to create boxes which will contain 2 butters.
In this case you will have to write
butter,2
in the description field of the Packager.
3. Go back in the Content tab and drag and drop in the Packager the items you want to pack
ATTENTION: the script will NOT differentiate between the items, so do not put different items in the Packager unless you want to make a “Mixed items” package.
Click on the Packager, and… voila’!
The script will rez the packages, name them according to what you wrote in the description field of the Packager, and fill them with the required number of items.
The rezzed boxes already have the “!Storage Count & Give - Group Only” script by KЯIƧƮΛŁ (kristal Clarity) inside, to make it easier use it
And of course the boxes will have the texture that you have inserted in the first step.

Now, whenever you want to create different boxes, just repeat step 2 and 3.

NOTE
For a curious SL glitch, the overtext on the rezzed box will very often not show correctly when you rez the boxes. Do not worry, when you will take them in your inventory, the correct name will be displayed.

ATTENTION
If you plan to place more than one packager, these MUST be put at least 20 meters apart, otherwise they will interfere with each other and the results may be completely unpredictable.
